Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and thank you for the opportunity to come to you once again today, as we journey through this week reflecting and meditating on the theme, total shalom. How can you and I come into that place of total shalom and everything in our lives come into a place of being in perfect peace? Today, I want to remind us of two verses in scripture that the Lord Jesus spoke about us having peace. In John chapter 14, verse 27, He said, ‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’ He continues in John chapter 16, verse 33, ‘These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.’ The Greek word here used for peace is the word ‘eirini’ which is similar to what we read from the Hebrew text of ‘shalom’ and Jesus is saying, I am giving you peace, I’m offering you this kind of peace which the world cannot give and I’m not giving it to you in a way that the world would try to give it to you, through the means and the measure that the world will try to offer peace. But He is saying I’m giving you peace which is in me. In me, you have peace, this place of total shalom. So, as believers in Jesus, we must understand that in this world, yes there are a lot of things that causse pressure, conflict, turmoil and disturbances, so on and so forth, Jesus said in this world you will have all of these things but He said while all these things are around you, He said, in me you will have peace, shalom and this place of total wellbeing. So, while we are journeying through this world, these things are going to happen but you and I must understand as believers, in Jesus, we can stay in a place of total peace and wellbeing and that is what we must seek to journey into. I know it is not easy but we want to learn how to live in that place of total shalom while things around us could be happening, that we can find ourselves in Jesus and He said, in me you will have peace. So, we need to affirm, in Jesus I have peace, in Jesus, I have total shalom and that is the place I want to live and stay in, while all kinds of things happen around me but in Jesus, I have peace. Jesus said, peace I leave with you, my peace I am giving to you, in me you will have peace. The world is going to have all kinds of things happening but you are in this place of perfect peace. Let’s pray together, Father, we thank you for what the Lord Jesus promised for us. He said, in me you will have peace. We ask that we will learn how to live, stay and abide in this place of perfect peace, even when things around us are turbulent. Teach us how to do that, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
