Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and it is our delight to come to you today, spend this time in God’s word and prayer. We are talking about the rapture of the church and today, we are going to read John chapter 14, verses 1 to 3, the Lord Jesus during His time here on earth with His disciples, He gave them these words, He said, ‘Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.    And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.’ Jesus is telling us about things that He is going to do. He has gone to heaven, what is He doing for us right now? He is preparing a pace for us and Jesus said, I will come again and I will receive you to myself so that where I am, there you maybe also. In connection with this, the apostle Paul has given us additional insight that we saw earlier in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 and 1 Corinthians chapter 15 of how the church will be raptured or caught up to meet the Lord, the Lord coming to receive us and we will meet Him in the air and He says, ‘so shall we be forever with the Lord’. We cannot confuse this with what we read in Revelation chapter 19 because in Revelation chapter 19, the coming of the Lord is very different. There He comes riding on a white horse, with His sword ready to execute vengeance and He speaks the word to destroy the armies that have come against Israel and He is coming in a way to the final battle Armegaddeon, that is Revelation chapter 19. But the coming of the Lord described here in John chapter 14, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 and 1 Corinthians chapter 15 is so different, He is coming to get us to take us to be with Him, ‘so shall we be ever with the Lord so where I am you may be there also’. That’s why we see these two comings as very distinct, one we call it as the secret coming, the rapture of the church and Revelation chapter 19 is the coming for the battle of Armageddon, the second coming for Him to set up His Kingdom here on earth. In the Revelation chapter 19 coming, the saints come with Him and we are going to be landing here one earth because we are going to rule and reign with Him, Revelation chapter 20, verse 4. In this coming, He is coming to get us into heaven so He can fulfill what He said in John chapter 14, to take us into the mansions He has prepared for us in heavens so that where He is we can be with Him there as well. So, we are looking forward to Jesus fulfilling this and being with Him in that glorious place in heaven. Let’s pray, Lord, we thank you for your kindness and goodness towards us, that you would prepare a place for us, that you will welcome us to dwell with you that where you are, we also would be there with you. Thank you for your mercies and your goodness, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
