Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hi everyone, welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to minister to you through God’s word. This week, we are talking about mentorship and how as believers, each one of us are called to mentor or to be mentored by somebody. The Holy Spirit is the great mentor, mentoring and shaping us. John chapter 14 and verse 26, ‘the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.’ As the Lord Jesus was talking to His disciples and as He was leaving, He shares the news about a new mentor. Jesus announces that the Spirit of truth is coming to be with the followers of Jesus and this Spirit of truth will be with them forever. The Spirit has many mentoring roles in the lives of believers. Among other things, the Holy Spirit reminds us of what Christ has taught us. Galatians chapter 5 talks about the Spirit that produces fruit in our lives. John chapter 16, the Holy Spirit convicts us of ourselves. In John chapter 15, the Holy Spirit testifies of Jesus and challenges us to testify also. God has placed His Spirit within us to focus us on the truth. The Spirit mentors us, reminding and teaching us from God’s word. There will be times when we will be convicted of our sin by instruction or just by the conviction of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit mentors us day to day without our having scheduled or an appointment. All we need to do is come with a willing heart to hear God’s word and to hear His voice. The Spirit will do the heavy lifting of convicting our hearts and reshaping our lives. If we have trusted Christ as our savior and have made Him the Lord of our lives, the Spirit of God lives in us and you and I have the privilege and the obligation to hear God’s voice or to heed God’s voice. Each time we meet with the Lord with an open bible or an open heart, we give Him an opportunity not only to reveal Himself to us but to help us fulfill our God given purpose, our God given potential and to receive all the blessings and rewards He has in store for us. One way that we can confirm that we are hearing from the Lord is to make sure that the word is in agreement or in alignment with the word of God. It is the Holy Sirit who has authorized the holy scriptures and He will never lead us to do something that contradicts to His word. Are we allowing the Holy Spirit to mentor or shape our life? Is there someone in your life who could use some reminding of God’s truth in scripture? Let us follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and testify about Jesus, allowing His Holy Spirit to do the transforming work in our lives, by allowing Him to mentor and shape us into God’s people. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for the promise of the Holy Spirit. You have promised that when He comes, He will convict, guide us, teach us, remind us. Thank you that the Holy Spirit is the greatest mentor that we can have, always available, 24/7. I pray that as believers, we will tap into the work of the Spirit, we will read your word, hear from Him and as a mentor, He will shape us into what you want us to be, we thank you. Help us to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
