Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to spend time in God’s word and a few moments in prayer. This week, we are talking about confession and how it is good for our body, soul and mind and when we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins. All we need to do as believers is to get into His presence through grace and in faith. Today, we will talk about hidden faults and secret sins. Psalm chapter 90, verse 8., ‘You have set… our secret sins in the light of your presence.’ Hidden faults and secret sins are not an isolated theme in the scriptures. The psalmist admits that all our sins, faults are in the presence of God. No wonder David pleads and says, forgive my hidden faults. Hidden faults are sins that we tend to keep secret. If sin is missing the mark, these are the times we missed the mark so badly that we don’t even want anyone else to know. That is typically because we have seen the target but we have aimed at the opposite direction. We don’t want people to see what crawls in our hearts. Willful sins are times when we miss the mark because we are intentionally shooting our gaze at the opposite direction. We knew we were doing wrong and we knew that we will face its consequences. David tackles two types of sins head on. He starts with confession; he gets authentic and transparent before the Lord. He gets real with himself and with God. He identifies his sin and confesses it seeking for forgiveness. He continues with a commitment to guard his heart. He asks the Lord to safe guard his heart, his thoughts, his words, his desires and passions. He prays for strength to watch where he aims his eyes. He asks for vigilance to catch himself who his thoughts drifts. He prayerfully seeks a spirit of self-discipline to avoid willful sins. Finally, he focuses his eye forward and thinks of having a clear conscience. There is peace for us when we know that we have confessed our sins and the Lord Jesus has accepted us. There is joy in seeking God’s strength and help in living more abundantly. Psalm chapter 19, verses 12 and 3 says, ‘But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.’ David concludes this psalm with a prayer, he asks for deliverance from the grasp of presumptuous sins, he asks God to accept his speech and the meditation of his heart. David not only wants to obey God but he wants to please him in words, thoughts and actions as well. David finally addresses God as Lord, the rock and the redeemer. The final verse has served as a model not only for prayer, but also for songs of praise. He has set our secret sins in the light of His presence, let us not run away from Him but run to His presence. Let us pray, Father, we thank you that you are the all-knowing God, a God who knows the beginning and the end, the God who knows every day of our lives even before one day came to us. We pray that as your children, that you will teach us, empower us to walk in integrity, to walk with a humble heart, to be willing to ask for forgiveness and we know that we ask for forgiveness you are faithful and just to forgive us. Even as we confess our sins, draw near to us, comfort and strengthen us and we pray this in Jesus’s name, Amen.
