Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome once again to Living Supernaturally. The Lord has called us to live supernatural lives and it is a joy to follow Him and be a follower of the Lord Jesus. Today, we are responding to the cry, Help, I have lost my peace. Peace is a wonderful characteristic and quality, peace means tranquility, harmony, and lack of disturbance, to have peace of mind is a wonderful thing. When we look at the word and walk with the Lord, the Lord Jesus actually promises His peace. Let’s read from John chapter 14 and verse 27, the Lord Jesus says, ‘Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’ The Lord Jesus promises His peace, the quality, or the kind of peace that He Himself has, which is something that He possesses, that He is choosing and promising to give to us, in fact He is called the prince of peace, that is one of the titles of the Lord Jesus. He gives this kind of peace, the kind of peace that He himself walked in while on the earth which enabled Him to literally sleep in the middle of the storm. When he was in the boat with His disciples and crossing the sea, He literally slept and that is the kind of peace that He is offering to give us and that is the kind of peace the Holy Spirit develops in us. In Galatians chapter 5, verse 22, ‘but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace….’ The kind of peace the Lord give us is the fruit, a progressive, ongoing result of the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and in our lives. Why do we lose this kind of peace, if the Lord is promising it to us? Why does it get overshadowed by so many other things? First thing is that it is overshadowed by fear, the noise of fear is sometimes louder than the voice of faith, we allow that to happen. The Lord Jesus was asleep, He was with the disciples and in that storm the disciple were fearful and were so preoccupied by worry and by fear, fear overshadowed the peace and the presence of the Lord with them. Peace is also overshadowed by our own carnal mind and its thoughts. The word of God is very clear, it says that a carnal mind cannot please God, is not obedient to God, so it is in direct conflict with the peace of God. It is time to reclaim our peace, it is time to go after, pursue and let this God kind of peace be restored into our lives. Isaiah chapter 26 and verse 3, ‘You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you.’ That is one of the things that we can do, for our thoughts to be on Him, for our mind to be stayed on the Lord Jesus, in His presence, in His word and in His promises. Secondly, we see in Galatians chapter 5 and verse 16, it says, ‘Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.’ The flesh lusts against the work of the Spirit, and the work of the Spirit, the fruit of it is peace. The flesh confronts, struggles, and tries to overshadow the work of the Spirit. When we put to death the works of the flesh, when we walk in the Spirit, when we are prompted and live our lives guided by the Holy Spirit, then we will not allow it to overshadow our peace. Finally, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God. The promise is that the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Today, it is time to reclaim that peace and walk in that peace. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you, that you are the prince of peace, and we pray for those of us who are saying, help, I have lost my peace, I do not have this peace of mind, we pray that this peace that you have given us, it is our inheritance and privilege to walk in that peace. I pray that we will reclaim that peace, that our minds will be on you so that you can keep us in that place of perfect peace. We give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s matchless name we pray, Amen.
