Daily Devotional church in Bangalore
by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you for joining us today on this daily devotional this Christmas week, as we are reflecting on the person of Jesus Christ. God sent His Son into this world, God came into this world, taking on human form in the person of Jesus Christ. Hebrews chapter 1, verses 1 to 4, is telling us a lot about this incarnate Son of God, this incarnate God, God in human form and we are picking out various aspects revealed to us in this passage. I want to bring our attention this day to Hebrews chapter 1 and verse 2, it says, ‘God has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.’ The writer of Hebrews says God has spoken to us in many different ways in times past, He spoke through the prophets and so on but in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son. So, this incarnate Son of God, this Jesus Christ, God manifest in flesh, God embodied is God's last, final complete message to us. God is speaking to us in the person of Jesus Christ, in these last days He spoken to us through His Son. If we want to know what is God saying, what has God spoken to me, He has revealed it to us in the person of Jesus Christ. As we reflect on Jesus, His life and all that He said and did, it's God speaking, God is telling you something. One of the things the writer, Paul the apostle points out in Romans chapter 5 and verse 8, he says, ‘but God demonstrates His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’ This is a declaration, a demonstration, a loud proclamation God is making for us that while you're still a sinner, I love you. How is He saying it? By sending Jesus and sending Jesus to the cross for us and in that action, in that deed, God is speaking to us, God has spoken to us through His Son. What is He saying? I love you; I love you so much that even though you're a sinner, look what I'm doing for you and I'm doing this because I want you to come into relationship with me. God has spoken that He wants you to be in a relationship with Him. God has spoken, He's ready to forgive you your sins. God has spoken, He's ready to walk with you. God has spoken through His Son, look at Jesus, there's so much God is speaking to us through His Son. Listen! Let's pray, oh God, we ask that you'll open our ears to hear what you have spoken to us through your Son, Jesus; through His life, through His ministry, through His teaching and through His work on the cross, help us to listen, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
