Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and I trust and hope that you are having a good day. We trust that you’ve been blessed by the devotions. We trust that this episode of truth is realigning our understanding about God and His word. Today, we are going to be looking at something that is very familiar for all of us which is God’s word as truth. Psalm chapter 119, verse 160 reads, ‘The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.’ When we read through Psalm chapter 119, the whole of that psalm meditates on the goodness and the truth of God’s word. We want to draw our attention to this particular verse, verse 160 which reads, ‘the entirety of Your word is truth’, meaning to say that right from the beginning to the end, the totality of it, the total of all of God’s word is true, is truth. What the psalmist is really declaring is a real, profound assertion about the comprehensiveness of the word of God. It is not just part of the bible that is true, but every precept, every promise, every command, narrative, every prophecy, every teaching in the scriptures really brings about the heart of a God who is truthful. This verse really emphasizes for us that God’s word is reliable and it is trustworthy. In essence, it is saying that every part of God’s word is accurate and true and everything will come to pass. Another version says, thy word is true from the beginning and this really emphasizes the eternal truthfulness of God’s word and that from the beginning and till eternity, God’s word will remain true. This can also be a reference to the timelessness of God’s promises and principles. No matter what time, season, whichever era we are in, God’s word applies to each of us. The message of this verse is the faithfulness, the consistency and the eternal nature of God’s word and His judgements are there for us. This is meant to give us assurance and encouragement to us as believers when this emphasizes that God’s nature, the truth of God’s word and God’s command is always going to stand. It is an affirmation for us that the unchanging nature and unwavering truth of God’s word is what we have. The psalmist is actually expressing his trust and his confidence in the word of God. Knowing that all of God’s word, the entirety of God’s word is true should actually make us bold and confident about our faith. So, let’s place our trust in Hsi word, His promises, His commands and His teaching knowing that they are rooted in eternal truth. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for your word and that you have made it available for us, that which we can learn and live our lives from. May we depend, rely on your word like nothing else and may we live in accordance to your word. Thank you that the entirety of your word is true, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
