God Prepares The Way (Daily Devotional)

Greetings! and thank you for tuning in. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to bring the word of God to you and encourage your heart today as you prepare to journey into the year ahead, the decade that is before us. I want to remind you that God is the God who prepares the way for you. Many of us carry dreams and we carry expectations in our hearts and we want to see things fulfilled, each one of us. But then we are also cognizant of the fact that look, things are not that easy, there's a journey that I have to make and the journey could be long, it could be hard, it could be expensive, maybe there's money that's needed, there are people that's needed, a lot of things that are needed in order to see that dream fulfilled, in order to see what you hope, your aspiration to come to pass. A lot of things required and so it seems difficult, but I want to remind you about something from the word of God. The bible teaches us that God goes before us and He prepares the way for us and we journey into His purposes. In Isaiah chapter 45 verse 2, God is speaking to the prophet Isaiah, says this and I know the context is about King Cyrus, but this is what God says, He says, ‘I will go before you and make crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron.’ Of course, he's using a language that people in those days understood and what God is saying is I'll go before you and things that are crooked, things that are not easy, things that seem very, very rough and difficult and winding, God says I will make them straight and make them plain, I'll make them simple, I'll make them easy for you to journey through and then He says, I will break the gates of bronze and bars of iron, things that might stop you from entering into the things that I have ordained for you, I'll get them out of the way and this is what I want to place before you, that the God we serve is the God who is able to do these things and He is the God who does these kinds of things. He is the God who makes crooked places straight. So, as you're thinking about the dreams, the things that you want to accomplish, the goals you want to pursue, you want to see these things happen and you are saying God the way before me is very difficult, I want you to know that God you serve, the God you believe in, the God who goes before you is the God who makes crooked places straight and He is the God who breaks up on those gates, bars of iron, those gates that say no entry, God will make a way, He'll make an entry for you and that's the word i release for you, believe it and thank God for it in advance, He will do this for you. God will prepare the way for you. Let's pray, Father, even as we look ahead in this new year, this new decade and there are things in our hearts and our lives that we want to see fulfilled here on earth. Sometimes we wonder how it's going to happen, how could it possibly be fulfilled, God you said in your word that you will go before us, you will prepare the way for us, you could make crooked places straight and you will open the gates of brass, so do it for each of us we pray, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
