Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Fresh Fire (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Jeyakumar Isaiah

Hello and welcome, we've been looking at some of the scriptures that have inspired songs that have been written by APC music and today we're looking at the song, Fresh fire. Fresh fire is an intense prayer, it is a desperate cry of the heart for revival. So, what is revival? Revival is bringing something from the dead back to life. To revive also means to renew someone's energy, someone's strength and to bring new life into that person. So, this song is a cry for revival. When there is a visitation of God, He releases His presence, He pours out His spirit and His power in an increased measure and it touches and revives not only the individual but also the community of believers which results in an overflow. It touches the city, transformation of the city and the nation and even the nations. So, this song cries out for such a kind of revival, for the visitation of God that becomes our habitation. It starts with the individual, revival starts with you, it starts with me, and it starts with you and I desiring more of God, seeking His presence, praying out, crying out for more of God. And as He does so in our own lives personally and corporately together as a community as we seek Him, He pours out His spirit and does amazing things. Let's look at a few scriptures that have inspired the song. Psalm chapter 80 and verses 18 and 19, ‘then we will not turn back from you; revive us and we will call upon your name. Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; cause your face to shine, and we shall be saved!’ A cry of the psalmist to revive, to restore. Hosea chapter 6 and verse three says, ‘let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and the former rain. And second Chronicles chapter seven and verse 14, ‘if my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, I will forgive their sin and heal their land.’ Today, as we listen to fresh fire, let us humble ourselves, let us repent and turn away from sin and from a sinful lifestyle. Let us look to Him. Let us seek the Lord in truth and sincerity. And even as we do so, the Lord has promised that He will respond with forgiveness, He will respond with an outpouring of His Spirit, and He will heal our land. Can you and I intercede for our land even as we listen to the song and even as we sing along and make this our prayer, fresh fire.
