Greetings and thank you for giving us the opportunity to come to you today, to spend these few minutes with you in the word of God and prayer. We're talking about personal evangelism. We are emphasizing the fact that people need Jesus. I want to bring our attention today to what the Lord Jesus said in Matthew the 16th chapter, the 26th verse, Jesus said ‘for what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?’ Now one of the things that holds us back from talking about Jesus and sharing Jesus to the people we know, to our friends, acquaintances and family members and sometimes even strangers is that we think they've got it all together. Maybe they are doing well in life, they've got finances, they've got things going, everything seems well. So, the thought that comes to our mind is in the middle of all this, why would they need Jesus? I want to remind us of what the Lord said, He said, what would a profit of man if he gained the whole world but lost his own soul? It means in the temporal, in the here and the now, he may have everything but if that man or that person is headed to an eternity without God, what good will all this do? That's where you and I come in. When we know that people around us, they are not saved, they have not come to faith in Christ; they may have everything but they still lack the most important thing, they lack Jesus. They need Jesus because that is what is going to secure their eternal future, giving them a place in heaven and is going to bring them into a powerful relationship with God here and now, starting now in this life. And that's where bringing the message of Jesus Christ to them is so important. It will bring them into a knowledge of God, a relationship with God that will be totally transforming and lifechanging and it will change the course of their eternal destiny which nothing in this world can afford that. So, remember this, that when we bring the message of Jesus, even to those who got everything, they got everything but when we bring the message of Jesus, we are changing the course of their eternal destiny, that's why it's so important. People need Jesus even when they have everything else in this world. Let's pray, Father, we ask that you'll open our hearts and minds to understand how important it is for people to have Jesus in their life. Even if they have everything else, they still need Jesus. Help us to recognize that and minister to them, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
