Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Endure (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Hello everyone! Trust that you are doing well. I just want to bring us a word of encouragement. Today I want to encourage us to endure. If we have ever started a project in our lives, we know that the beginning is usually very exciting, we are thrilled to start something new, but as we proceed, all of us listening will agree that sometimes we become tired and might even find it totally disinteresting and we want to give up on it. To go through or complete that project is what is important and people who are unable to do that end up quitting and things remain incomplete. When we talk about our lives and things that concern our daily living, we know that we require that ability to keep going on especially during those rough patches. That ability to keep going on when things are difficult is known as endurance. We’ve seen already in Hebrews chapter 12 and verse 1, that the Lord Jesus has become an example of endurance for us and when we fix our eyes on Him, we are able to endure through this race that He has set for us. The word endurance, which is used in Hebrews chapter 12, verse 1, is from the Greek word, ‘hupomeno’ and it describes to us – holding up/ bearing under pressure. This ability is that one special quality which will help us complete what God has called us to do. Each one of us, in the area where we are working/ serving, we can look to God and ask Him for the way we can develop our endurance. I just want to remind us of people who are into mountaineering, it’s a matter of great joy when someone climbs the tallest peaks, maybe a Mount Everest but if we read about the accounts of these mountaineers we will realize that going up to a certain height is possible, many hundreds can reach up to a certain level but after that comes the difficult part- the weather, the physical exhaustion, the atmosphere, the oxygen levels - there are so many factors that can bring down a person. Very few actually make it to the top of the peak. Similarly, in our lifetime as we are going through some difficulties in the assignment that God has given us, God is really expecting us to have that endurance, to make it through and reach the end. In fact, that is God’s expectation from us all. Just like those mountaineers who develop what is needed for them to endure, we can also develop that strength. How can we have that strength? Firstly, consider Jesus, fix our eyes on the example of the Lord Jesus and we give in to the Word of God because we read in Scripture that it is the word of God that builds us up, also pray in the Holy spirit because we know that our inner man is strengthened, so with that strength we will be able to endure those difficult patches in life and be able to complete the assignment that God has for us. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you have called each one of us overcomers and I pray for that strength that we need to overcome challenging times in our life and I just pray for the work of the Spirit, for the deliverance of the spirit, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
