Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you once again for joining us, towards the end of the week as we study, meditate on God's word. I hope this series of free will has been encouraging, has also helped you to understand how we can exercise this free will. Today, we are going to be looking at how even as we have been given this gift, how do we embrace God's guidance through our free will. As Christians, each of us having this gift of free will, having the ability to make the choices and decisions, remember that this freedom is not meant to be exercised independently of God. Instead, as we read yesterday, scripture reminds us of how we can trust the Lord with our heart and to submit to Him. As we read in Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 and 6, ‘trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.’ As we continue to meditate on how to embrace God's guidance as we exercise our free will, as believers, we have powerful means by which we can exercise our free will. We looked into scripture yesterday, we look at prayer today. In our journey of faith, prayer serves as a vital connection between our free will and God's guidance. When we pray, we express our dependence on God, seeking His wisdom, His direction and strength to navigate through the decisions we may have. Remember prayer is just not a religious duty but it's a privilege, it's a sacred privilege, a conversation with our heavenly Father who invites us to cast our cares upon Him. The second means that we have is the Holy Spirit. As believers, each of us are recipients of the Holy Spirit who dwell within us. This indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit is not passive but it is active. He guides us, comforts us, convicts us in our day-to-day life. Through the Holy Spirit, God communicates His will to us and He offers us direction and insight into any decision you may need to make. So, the Holy Spirit is the one who also imparts wisdom and discernment to us as believers, enabling us to make those choices. As we yield to His guidance, He opens up scripture to us, He empowers our prayer and provides us insight into situations. When you and I are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, we can discern His promptings and His direction. The Spirit may speak to us through a still, small voice, an inner conviction or even through a confirmation from others. When you're faced with choices, big or small, let us pause to seek the will of God in prayer. Let us invite the Holy Spirit, surrender our plans and desires to Him because He promises to direct our steps and our paths. So, our free will is not meant to lead us astray but to align us to God's perfect will, leading us to a life of purpose. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we come to you as we talk and as we commune, as we converse with you that you will help us make the right choices. May we use our free will in accordance to what you desire. We invite the power of the Holy Spirit as well that the Spirit will illuminate us in our choices, in our decisions. Show us the way that we need to go. May our free will bring glory and honor to you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
