Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome to Living Supernaturally, the daily devotion of All People's Church. We're so glad that you could be here and the time that we spend here, I'm sure will be most profitable. We are looking at 1 Timothy chapter 4 and verses 14 to 16 says, ‘do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.’ So, Paul is writing to Timothy, he's giving a set of instructions, practical wisdom and this is for someone who is serving the Lord and he's laying down all these things. The first thing he says is, do not neglect the gift that is in you. Neglect is to be careless about, neglect is to ignore, to be negligent of. So, he's saying, do not neglect the gift that is in you and he goes on to explain what is that gift, that gift that was given by prophecy with the laying on of hands. So, while the gift is not mentioned/ named but he says this is how you received that gift by prophecy with the laying on of hands. So, Paul and probably others laid hands and prayed over Timothy and he says this gift was activated or stirred up in you and it seems that Timothy is not really using this gift. So, Paul is writing and saying, don't neglect this gift that is in you, which was given to you because it is beneficial. The gift was given so that it can be used to help others, to serve others, so that the body of Christ can be blessed. Secondly, he says that meditate on these things. Meditate on the word, meditate on the doctrine, meditate on these things that Paul is saying that he has shared with Timothy. So, meditate meaning to think deeply, to think consistently, over and over again, repeatedly, consistently and even muttering softly to oneself these truths. So, meditate on these things and he's saying give yourself entirely, don't hold back, don't withhold yourself from the truth of God's word because God's word is beneficial, God's word was given with our benefit in mind, with our blessing in mind, with our edification in mind. So, God's word comes to us with that objective. So, Paul is saying, give yourself entirely, don't withhold and when we do that, it says, that progress will be evident. First of all, there will be progress and that progress will be evident which means it'll be manifest, it'll be available and everyone can see it, it'll be manifest for all. So, he's saying pay close attention, take heed to the teaching and to the doctrine and continue in it, don't give up. So, this is available for us, this instruction is also for us today for us to walk in. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you for these words of life. We pray that today even as we've received these words, we pray that we'll put it to practice, that we will not be negligent or neglect those gifts that you placed in us by your Spirit, that we will stir it up, that we will use it and I pray that we will continue in all things that you've taught us that our progress will be evident to all, we thank you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
