Greetings and thank you for this entire week, the opportunity to journey with you day after day, and spend these few moments in God’s word with you. As we reflected, reminded ourselves about what it means to speak in tongues and pray in tongues, I want to wrap up this week with that same set of verses, Romans chapter 8, verses 26 and 27, where the scripture says that ‘the Holy Spirit helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered’. Vere 27 he says, ‘He makes intercession for the saints.’ Part of what happens when we pray in tongues is we make intercession and it is deep intercession meaning it is not just me praying with my mind, saying God, help John, help me. No, it is groanings that means it comes from the deep inner person given to us by the Holy Spirit, but we are making intercession for us and for the saints, for other people. So, what a wonderful thing that we could engage in intercession that is given to us by the Holy Spirit. There are times we don’t know what to pray for our own selves, how do I pray for myself in this situation? Well, pray in tongues because the Holy Spirit makes intercession and as we join with Him because it says in Romans chapter 8, verse 26, He helps us, He is taking a hold of together with us, He is coming alongside us, that means we have a part to play. So, we engage in Holy Spirit enabled intercession, deep intercession. Sometimes we pray for ourselves and sometimes we pray for somebody else whom we know, or we do not know but we are praying, this deep intercession enabled by the Holy Spirit, and it surely will result in good things. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Great things will happen when we engage in that intercession, enabled by the Holy Spirit. So, keep praying, pray much in tongues. Make intercession with tongues and you will see great results. Let’s close, Father, thank you for the empowering of the Holy Spirit to speak and to pray in tongues. Help us to engage very much in this and see great results, thank you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
