Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to come together and spend a few moments in God’s word and in prayer. This week, we’ve been talking about Hebrews and we’ve come to the end of this week. Today, we will talk about confidence to draw near to God. Hebrews chapter 10, verses 19 through 22, ‘Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.’ As we have learnt in these reflections in Hebrews, the priests were busy everyday offering sacrifices for people’s sins. And on the day of atonement, the high priest would make a sacrifice for all the sins of the people of Israel, year after year. There are many times in which we try either intentionally or unintentionally to pay for ourselves. We try to follow all kinds of rules and regulations, we try to be good people. When we are sorry for our sins, something inside us makes us think that we have to make it right. We want to try to pay God back, as if we might pay our salvation, but we can’t. Yet, because of Jesus, we have been made holy already. In the Jewish tradition, to enter the Most holy place was forbidden. Only the high priest could do that and only once a year. Many people have a view of God as an angry God. To even think about drawing near to God is not something that they want to do because deep down, we have done wrong, we are sinners, our lives are stained in sin, we have offended the God who made us, who loved us and wants us to have a full life. What is more, God is holy and perfect and on our own we cannot stand before Him. We no longer have to offer sacrifice day after day or year after year. Christ has already sacrificed Himself once for all. We don’t have to earn our holiness for Christ has already made us holy. Because of Christ’s work on the cross, He opens the way for us to be forgiven and to have a new life. Jesus has made it possible for us to have a direct connection with God and that is through Himself. So, here we have this encouragement to not only think about drawing near to God but to have confidence in doing so. Having confidence is being assured that we are doing the right thing; because of Jesus and His finished work on the cross and His atonement for our sins, we can approach God and draw near to Him in full confidence and assurance of faith. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your word and that we can enter the holy of holies once for all, in confidence because of the price that you have paid. We pray that each one of us, no matter where we are in our spiritual walk with you, if there are sins yet to be forgiven, we pray that you will forgive us and we will draw near to you in confidence and assurance knowing that you are a faithful God who loves us and cares for us. We thank you for this time, we give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
