Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Confession (Daily Devotional)

Greetings, thank you so much for another opportunity to be able to come to you through this medium, pray with you, spend a few moments in God's word and we trust that your heart will be encouraged today. Remember, no matter what you're going through, the Lord is with you because He said, I will never leave you, I will never forsake you. This week, we've been talking about feeding on the word of God and we're just talking about some practical things we can do, as we read the scriptures, how to draw nourishment from His word. We talked about illumination, we talked about revelation, we talked about the importance of meditation, and we started breaking down the process of meditation. We said, we contemplate on the word, we visualize the word and the third step, or the third part of meditation is confession. The primary Hebrew word that's used for meditation is the Hebrew word ‘haga’, which simply means to mutter, that means to keep saying to yourself over and over again the scriptures, to say it again, mutter softly, to keep on saying it. And so, God wants us to say His word, let His word be part of our speech, of our mouth. One instance is there in Joshua chapter one and verse 8, where God tells Joshua, ‘This Book of the Law will not depart from your mouth,’ that means this word must be in your mouth, you must keep talking it, you must keep saying it, you must keep speaking it, the words of my book must become the words of your mouth, this is what God is saying. ‘This book of the law will not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night.’ God is telling Joshua, keep my words in your mouth so that it will help you meditate in it, so you see how the word of God becoming word in our mouth it's part of this whole process of meditating in it day and night. You may not be able to carry your bible with you everywhere you go, but you carry the word with you in your mouth. So, wherever you go, you can say it with your mouth, you can meditate in it day and night, anywhere, anytime by doing this, by just saying the scriptures in your mouth. He says, let the words of this book be the words of your mouth, you meditate in it day and night and then He says, what will happen? You'll observe to do according to all that is written, that means you will be careful to do whatever my word says and then He says, you'll make your way prosperous, you'll have good success.’ See that's the outcome of doing the word of God. But what I want to emphasize is the third aspect of meditation, which is to confess, the word confess simply means to say the word to say the word with your mouth, as you are confessing, you're meditating in that word day and night, you're saying the words, wherever you're going, you're driving, you say the scriptures, you're walking somewhere, just mutter the scriptures, say it, you're meditating in it, then you'll be careful to do it and God says you will prosper and you'll be successful. Meditation in God's word involves contemplation, visualization, and confession and as you do that with the scriptures, you're meditating in the word, that word becomes part of you and the word will change you, it will feed you, it will do its work in your spirit. So, when you read the word, remember to meditate in the word, it will get inside you and change you. Let's pray, Father, thank you for teaching us how to meditate in your word, that we can make your word part of other words, the words we speak with our mouth and thereby meditate in it day and night, anywhere, anyplace, anytime. We thank you for what your word does in our lives, we honor you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
