Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for another opportunity to come to you today and spend a few moments together in God’s word and prayer. We are talking about strengthening our inner man. The apostle Paul prayed for the believers in Ephesus, he said, ‘I pray that God may grant to you, that you may be strengthened with might and power by His Spriit in your inner man.’ God wants us to become strong in our inner person/ spirit man and we are touching on various practices and disciplines that will help us receive supernatural/ divine strength in our spirit man. Today, I want to bring our attention to another practice in the word of God which is the confession of the word, that is us speaking the word of God. We see this in both the Old and the New testaments, where God taught His people saying that my word is near you, it is in your heart and in your mouth. In your heart, you believe my word and with your mouth, you confess the word, you say the word. As we do that, our spirit man is strengthened and becomes strong. In Philemon chapter 1, verse 6, Paul writing to Philemon, he says, that the fellowship of our faith may become effectual by the acknowledgement of every good thing which is in you, in Christ. He is telling Philemon, we need to do something as believers, in our fellowship, in our spiritual engagement to each other, we need to do something. What must we do? We must acknowledge/ recognize as a fact, we must state the fact, acknowledge the good things that are in us, in Christ. We know that as believers, we are in Christ Jesus. Our identity is in Him but now we must acknowledge the good things that are in us because we are in Christ. That means you recognize that as a fact, you begin to speak that upon yourself, you begin to say things about yourself based on your identity in Christ. You say that I am the righteousness of God, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, I am anointed by God, I am called and appointed by God to be fruitful and to be successful, I am an overcomer, I am born of God and I have overcome this world and so on and so forth. You speak and declare, you acknowledge every good thing that is in you, in Christ. Doing this is going to strengthen your inner man. So, develop the practice of confessing/ speaking/ declaring the word to strengthen your spirit man. Let’s pray, Father, even as we learn these disciplines that will strengthen our spirit, help us to do them consistently, help us to practice them consistently so we can become strong in our spirit and do mighty exploits for your kingdom, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
