Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello friends, thank you for joining once again. We are talking about praying prayers for the church, there are several prayers that we can pray. Today, I want to talk about praying that the church may be a church of glory. This is God’s promise that His church will be filled with His glory. Let’s read from Haggai chapter 2, verses 7 through 9 and it says, ‘and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place, I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.”’ We understand that the temple is a place where God is worshipped. A temple is a place where the glory of God overtakes, the presence of God fills the temple and God does the works that He alone can do. When we talk about glory it simply refers to who God is and what God does, a demonstration of this. When we saw this passage, God has promised that He will fill His church/ temple with His glory or the mighty demonstrations of His works that reveal Him and bring honor to His name. Today, we are that temple that the Lord wants to fill with glory. We saw the scripture verse 9 where it says, ‘the glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former temple’. We as the body of Christ are the temple of the living God and we need to be filled with the glory of God and the works of our Lord Jesus, all the miraculous, supernatural works that our God does and that is a prayer we can make. We can pray and ask the Lord to help us come to that position where like the church in the book of Acts, we will be filed with the Spirit of God and the demonstrations of the work of God. We can pray that we could operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We see that many of those 1st century churches that were established were moving in the gifts of the Spirit and Paul had to instruct them about doing it in the right manner and today, more than ever there is a need for us to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We can pray that we will be a church that moves with signs, wonders and miracles, that is how the early church was. We read about the apostles giving testimony to the power of God through the miracles that they did in Acts chapter 2, verse 43 and that was not all. While the leaders of the church were moving in signs, wonders and miracles, the believers were not left behind. We read about a volunteer in the church in Acts chapter 6, by the name of Stephen. Acts chapter 6, verse 8 tell us that ‘he was full of grace and power and doing great works and signs among the people’, that is the Amplified version. It is encouraging for us to know that those who are called into the five-fold ministry offices and even those who may consider themselves as a simple believer can flow in the power of God in a mighty way and let’s pray this for ourselves that as a church, we will be those people who demonstrate signs, wonders and miracles and may the power of God mightily fill us as a body. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are pouring out your Spirit in our days. We just pray that you will fill us by your Spirit, help us to flow in the gifts of the Spirit and we ask for your great and wonderful works to be done among us so that the power of God can set people free and bring honor to your holy name, in Jesus’s name w pray, Amen.
