Greetings and welcome once again to Living Supernaturally, where we take a few moments to meditate on God’s word and pray together. We have been talking about being chosen in God’s kingdom and what are the privileges that we have as children of God. 1 John chapter 3 and verse 1, ‘Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.’ God knows our sins, our thoughts, He knows what we hide from others. He also knows our tendencies to disobey, our shortcomings, our challenges, our failures, still because of Jesus’s work on the cross, the Father welcomes us back into His presence. No wonder John emphatically writes this verse, Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us. The word ‘bestow’ simply means to confer, to be given to. Consider our confidence for tomorrow, scripture teaches us that God made us, He saved us, and He directs us everywhere we have to go, He instructs our paths, He guides us on a daily basis, and He promises us that He is always going to be with us along the way. Do you ever wonder if we are good enough for God? Certainly, we are not! The answer is, we are not good enough for God, but the point is, we are simply invited into God’s presence, not because of our works, not because of our doings, but it is because of the love of God the Father upon our lives. Behold, what manner of love is this! May we, as children of God, walk in this agape kind of love. Let’s pray, Father, we want to thank you for your love that you have bestowed upon us. We pray that you will enable us to walk in your love. We pray that you will teach us to be children that will serve you and glorify your name in all that we do. We pray that you will empower us through your word and through your Spirit, to love and to nourish each other in your kingdom, we give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
