Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

By Faith (Daily Devotional)

Welcome everyone, thank you for tuning in. We are continuing to look at the fact that we've been called to serve, God empowers each one of us and that we can contribute wonderfully for the Kingdom of God. As we serve, I want to talk about another aspect which will help us serve really well and that is to serve by faith. In Hebrews chapter 11 talks so much about faith, it says ‘now faith is substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things yet unseen.’ So, this faith that we carry in our hearts it gives us the assurance of what God is going to do through our life and through our ministry. So, when we serve today, we might not have an idea of the impact that it can make for the kingdom of God, but God sees it from His perspective. However, in faith we are in agreement with God that our service is going to benefit the kingdom of God. Whatever it is that we are engaging in, let's have faith in God and know that God is going to receive much glory and that there is going to be an extension of His kingdom. We have several people listed in Hebrews chapter 11 and that passage also talks about how faith pleases God and each one of these people, based on their life vision, based on their life assignment, they accomplished wonderful things, but all of them are put together, their enlisted together because of this one factor -faith, they had faith in whatever they did. You find people who have fought battles, but then you find people who have done probably just one thing, you read about Gideon over there, you don't read too much about Gideon all over the Bible, but you just read about him going into that battle with his men. However, Gideon is there in that list while David is there who has won very many battles. There are people who are not named, in fact, even David is not named there, but the common factor is faith and faith pleases God. Romans chapter 14 verse 23 says, ‘whatever is not from faith, is sin.’ So, faith is the one that enables us to do what we're doing as service unto the Lord. Put your trust in God and serve; especially when we read about the testimonies of pastors who have planted churches, they started out with very few people and then as they persevered by faith, there is the testimony of Dr David Yonggi Cho, which many of us know, that he started out with very few people in his church, but God gave him a vision and he persevered in faith and today he is known for one of the largest churches in the world. How did he do it? He talked so much about faith, holding on to faith and God will cause the increase and God will bring in the multiplication. So, I want to encourage us, whatever we are doing for the kingdom, do it by faith. Today, it might look very small, but we are encouraged in God's word to say that we should not despise the day of small beginnings. Let's pray together, Heavenly father, we thank you for each assignment that you have given us. We see in your word that you're building up your people and that your people are being raised into maturity, you're bringing the church into maturity of God, Lord, whatever we do, we pray that it will bless the body of Christ and God that your kingdom will come powerfully through our service, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
