Greetings and thank you for the privilege of journeying with you this week, each day, spending a few moments in God’s word and prayer. We are considering the word of the Lord for 2024 and I want to encourage you that as God is telling us, conquer through faith, take your Jericho’s and subdue your adversaries, we’ve got to build strong faith in our hearts. We must build strong faith. We know that faith comes by hearing the word of God which means that we must make the time and effort to hear the word of God, give time, take time to listen to what the word of God says, the promises of God. Whether you can read it from your bible or listen to the bible, however you do it, but we must build strong faith by taking a hold of the word of God because faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. So, purpose that in 2024, you are intentionally going to build faith into your spirit, that you are going to understand and learn about faith, that you are going to exercise your faith in God, right now your faith muscle may seem a little weak, atrophied, maybe hasn’t been put to use in a long time but in 2024 you are going to dust up that faith muscle, you are going to start acting and working on that faith muscle so that it gets stronger and you are going to build strong faith in your heart because you are going to conquer through faith. Through faith, the walls of Jericho came down, through faith, they subdued kingdoms. 1 John chapter 5, verse 4 tells us, ‘For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.’ In other words, this is the way we walk as overcomers, this is the way we gain victory over the things in the world, how? Through faith. So, build strong faith, build your faith muscle, feed it with the word of God, exercise your faith and say, I’m going to believe God/ strengthen my faith muscle in this particular area of my life, I’m going to build strong faith because it is through faith that I’m going to gain the victory. Let’s pray, Father, even as we look ahead to 2024, we ask that you will give us the grace to build strong faith in our hearts and spirits, that we will intentionally feed ourselves with your word, exercise faith in you, speak our faith, act our faith, live by faith so that we can become stronger in faith and through faith gain victory, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
