Hello friends, thank you for joining. It is such a joy to be together with you and talk about the victorious life that you and I can live here on the earth. We, as believers, though we are in the world, we are not of the world. This is what Jesus had to say, 1 John chapter 5 and verse 1, He says, ‘Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.’ We see that we are born of God, we are children of God and so, we are here to represent God and live life just the way Jesus did. This ability in one sense you could say, it is inherent in us because we are born of God and God has put that potential inside each one of us. I stated that we are in the world, but we are not of the world and that is so true. We have to go through life like others who might not believe in the Lord Jesus, who might not have received salvation in the Lord Jesus and yet we have to live this life just like them, but here is the spiritual reality that though we are here on the earth, we belong to a heavenly kingdom, and we have to live by the principles of that kingdom. As we make that the truth and as we walk by faith in it, we will begin to see the power of that kingdom released in every situation. I want to encourage us to keep our mind fixed on the spiritual reality of who we are in Christ Jesus. We are born of God and God has given us the ability to live for Him, which is why we can overcome sin, temptation, and any allurement of the world and we can still live a holy life here on the earth. I also want to add this point that though we are in the world and not of the world, it doesn’t mean we are supposed to disengage from the world, we can overcome the sin in the world, but at the same time, we can engage purposefully, usefully, positively in the matters of this world. For us as believers, sometimes we completely disengage and disconnect from the world and say that ‘I don’t want to have anything to do with the world’, but that is not the way Jesus meant this. We are to engage in such a way that we are productive with the opportunities that God has given us, we are a blessing to the people around us and at the same time we are not tainted by the sin of the world. I just want to encourage us to remember that we are born of God and walk victorious.

Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you, for this new identity which you have given us in you. We want to thank you that this is possible only because of what you have done and help us to walk in it and to overcome every work of the enemy, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
