Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for the opportunity to come to you today and spend this time in the word of God. We trust that each and every day, you are growing in your walk with God, you’re growing in your faith in God, and you are seeing yourself being changed into the image of Jesus Christ, because the Bible says that is what God is doing, He is changing us from glory to glory into that same image. We are people who are to go from faith to faith, that means from one level of faith to the next level of faith. We’ve been talking about Jesus’s teaching on faith and today I want to bring our attention to what Jesus called as great faith.

There were two people in the gospels to whom Jesus commended them and He said you’ve got great faith. One of them was the Roman centurion; very interestingly he was not a Jew, he was not somebody who heard the teaching of the scriptures week after week, who studied the scriptures; no, he was a Roman, typically we refer to as a Gentile- non Jewish person, a centurion- a man in authority, a man who had risen up to a place of rank in the army, he had soldiers under him, commanded people, so he must have been some manner, some caliber, character and repute. Now he comes to Jesus one day in Mathew the eight chapter and he has a servant who is very ill (we don’t know exactly what his medical condition was). Obviously, this Roman centurion heard about Jesus and the miracles He performed, so he decided to make his way to Jesus, and he comes to Jesus and says, Lord, my servant is terribly ill, he is grievously tormented, and Jesus said I will come and heal him. This roman centurion tells Jesus, ‘Lord, speak the word only and my servant will be healed.’ He said, speak the word only and my servant will be healed. His logic was this- he went on to say because I am a man under authority, and I have soldiers under me and I tell a soldier go, and he goes, somebody to come and he comes, that’s why all I want from you, is your word; speak the word only. Jesus calls this man and says I have never seen such great faith, in all of Israel. So, what is great faith? When we look at this and we think about this whole scenario, if you want to put it in one single statement- great faith simply believes the word God has spoken. When God speaks it, that word will be done because the one who speaks it has all authority, the one who speaks it will back up His word, everything else is in subjection to His word, so the moment He speaks it is done, that is great faith. You and I have the Bible, the Bible is God’s word, it is what God has already spoken. We are not waiting for God to speak a new word, but God has already spoken and when we believe the Bible, just take that word, then we can be like the centurion. God has spoken, it will be done. That is great faith, great faith is simply believing but because God has spoken it will be done. God has spoken already concerning you, your life, your health, your finances, and every area of your life and you believe that it will be done; that is great faith. Simple, let’s pray, Lord, help us to be people of great faith, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
