Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally, where we take a few moments to meditate on God’s word and pray together. This week, we have been talking about being chosen in God’s kingdom and the privileges that you and I, enjoy as His children. You and I are appointed to Jesus’s team. Luke chapter 10 and verse 1, ‘After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.’ The 72 followers were about to make history, working with the Lord Jesus. Out of the 100’s and 1000’s of followers, Jesus settled on these 72 people to do the witness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Luke doesn’t tell us how these 72 followers were chosen but what is important was they represented the gospel witness of the Lord Jesus. Imagine Jesus standing there, in front of the 72 followers, there must have been excitement, eagerness even as they prepared for their journey. They had a world to change and the Lord Jesus; the creator of the heavens and the earth has commissioned them. They were commissioned to go into villages and towns and preach the message of healing and repentance. Jesus also told them to display signs of God’s kingdom, they were to heal the sick, deliver the oppressed, they were to heal people afflicted from their mind, body, spirit, and soul because God heard the cries of help. As a team, you, and I, are called to minister with the power of God. Followers of Jesus are meant not to do ministry alone, we are not superheroes, we are just broken vessels that the Lord uses to touch lives and point people to the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are called to walk in a team, we are called to walk side by side, to minister to the broken and the bruised and to bring them into God’s kingdom. How do you feel today to be part of Jesus’s team? Let’s pray, Father, we thank you, for this wonderful opportunity that you have given us, that you not only chose us, but you also appointed us to be in your team, to do the works that you have done. Lord, we pray that we will not depend on our own strength, but we will work with the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon our lives, and we pray that greater signs, wonders and miracles will happen in and through each of us, we thank you for empowering us and anointing us by your Holy Spirit, we give you all the glory and honor, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
