Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Act (Daily Devotional)

Hello friends, so wonderful to journey together with you, in this study, we're talking about change to grow. Today, I want to talk about acting or doing something. It's when we do something in line with what God is speaking, that growth actually happens. There are two passages that I want to read to us from first, Hebrews chapter five and verse 12 it says, ‘for though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.’ The writer to the Hebrews is actually rebuking the believers and he's saying that the little you know, you must have invested that into somebody else's lives. He's not saying that every single believer must become a teacher, but he's simply saying that whatever you have gained is sufficient for you to nurture a younger believer. He says by now you should be teachers, which means you must be looking out for the needs of others and not just yourselves. In other words, what he's saying is believers who receive revelation, believers who understand truth and that is that deposit of what God has done in their hearts, the requirement is that they act on these things. Not just hoarding the talents that God has given, not just hoarding the experiences that God has given us. If we lock it up in our in our cupboards, it will not be useful for the kingdom of God, but we have to step out, we have to act on what God has given us. Maybe in small little ways, we may not be able to compare it with somebody who is serving in a large manner, but that's not what God is looking for. God is just asking us to invest what we have in our hands and when we act on it, God is able to multiply the talents that He has given us. James chapter one, verses 22 to 25, I will not be the whole thing, but I'll just touch on some key points here it says, ‘but be doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving yourselves.’ Then he goes on to say how we deceive ourselves, as ‘if we look at ourselves in the mirror and we never correct what is wrong.’ So, it's only when we are doers of the word or we act on what the word is teaching us, that we experienced growth. If we settle down and are happy with hearing the word, hearing more of the word, and becoming fat on the word and never really doing it, scriptures tell us that we are in a place of deception. Instead, we learn, we act, we grow. So, let's act on what God's word has taught us and let's keep growing in God. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for this exciting journey of life with you, that Lord, you never leave us alone, but you take us to new heights. Lord, I just pray that every single person will experience this kind of growth and that your kingdom will arise and that your kingdom will shine your name, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
