Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and once again thank you for this opportunity to come to you today, spend a few moments in the word of God, and pray with you.

This week and the next, we are learning on Jesus’s teaching on faith. What did the Lord Jesus Christ teach us on this subject of faith? We know that the Lord Jesus taught on many different things and subjects and addressed many different areas of our everyday life but one of the things that really stands out in His teaching is He emphasized this aspect of faith in God. What we are trying to do in these two weeks is highlight/ outline some of the teachings of Jesus, on this subject of faith. Today we want to mention that Jesus taught concerning faith, that we will receive according to our faith. We can restate it like this, that we will receive in response to our faith in God. Just two scripture references in Mathew chapter 8 and verse 13, when the Roman centurion comes to Jesus on behalf of one of his men/ servants who was a very bad condition physically, we don’t know exactly what it is, maybe some sort of paralysis or some other physical condition that he was troubled with, and this Roman centurion demonstrated great faith in God and we will talk about that in a few days from now. Jesus told him, ‘Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” In Mathew chapter 9 and verse 29, when there were two blind men who had come to Jesus and Jesus asked them, do you believe that I am able to do this? They said, yes Lord and Jesus told them, ‘“According to your faith let it be to you.”’ I personally like to refer to this statement in Mathew chapter 9 and verse 29 as the law of faith. In other words, this is a law and what is it? According to your faith, it will be done for you. You will receive in response to your faith, and nothing can stop that from happening; this is the law of faith, where God has put this in place that if we have faith in God and believe in God then according to our faith, it will be done. In one case, it was two men who were born blind, but according to their faith, they believed, and that physical condition was turned around. Humanly speaking, it is impossible, they are born this way, they are blind, they can’t see, we don’t know what exactly caused their blindness, but the fact is they are blind, but in response to faith, something in the natural has changed, healing takes place, and they are able to see. Same thing in the case of the centurion, yes, his servant was terribly sick, whatever that sickness was, but Jesus said as you have believed, according to what you have believed, let it be done. Something in the natural changed in response to their faith. Their faith brought about that change in the natural. Here is the second thing we want to highlight in Jesus’s teaching about faith that, according to our faith we will receive. Things in the natural will turn around in response or because of our faith in Almighty God and His word. According to your faith it will be done, and nothing can stop it.

Let’s pray, Father, help us to understand the dynamic of faith and what you have put in place and given to us, faith in our hearts and may we learn to walk by faith in God we pray, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
