Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you once again for this opportunity to minister God's word and spend a few moments in prayer. Today, we'll talk about a glimpse of His glory. Isaiah chapter 6 and verse 1, ‘in the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.’ A glimpse is a partial view and only for a moment. No matter how glorious these things are that we see here on earth, they are just a partiality of God's complete glory and lasting only a moment. Every sunrise, sunset, rainbow, fluttering trees, flowers, swing and happen just for a moment. A brief moment that we can grasp and comprehend a portion of God's amazing glory. King Uzziah began his reign when he was only 16 years old and he reigned for 52 years. Overall, he was a good king, he did what was right in the sight of the Lord. He also led Israel in military victories against Philistines and other neighboring nations and he was also a strong king. His fame spread as far as the entrance of Egypt for he became exceedingly strong. King Uzziah's life ended tragically. In the year, a great and a wise king who had a tragic end died, Isaiah had great reason to be discouraged and disillusion at the death of King Uzziah because a great king had passed away and because his life ended tragically, where was the Lord in all of this? The Lord was sitting on the throne. God was still enthroned in heaven and was still in charge of all creation. Isaiah's response is instinctive and instructive. Seeing God surrounded by angels, he said, ‘woe to me, I am unclean.’ Isaiah feels hopeless and helpless, as good as dead and justly condemned. Isaiah's vision demands that we practice disciplined, daily confession. Then when we worship with fellow believers, we will catch a glimpse of God in His glorious grace and join the chorus singing, Holy Holy, Holy. God knows people won’t understand but He still calls us to tell what He has shown us. We've got a glimpse of His glory, how can we help but not tell? Let's pray, Father, we thank you for your word that is so true and so powerful. Even as we read today that just a glimpse of your glory is enough Lord but we ask for more of your glory to be revealed in and through each of our lives that we may walk upright and that we may experience you in every area of our lives, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
