Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Greetings and thank you for the opportunity to come to you today, spend these few moments in the word of God and prayer. This week, we are talking about success. All of us desire to be successful, all of us want to do well in whatever we do. So, we are looking at the word of God on that aspect of being successful, doing well, prospering in whatever we are engaged in. What I want to impress on our hearts today is that this is a covenant blessing. That is being successful, being prosperous in whatever we are engaged in, each one of us, is part of God’s promised blessing to us. How do you know that? For instance, you look at the old covenant in the 28th chapter of Deuteronomy, as God is speaking to His people through Moses, He tells them, look if you obey the words I have commanded you, that is, part of the covenant that He has given to them, you walk in obedience before me, then all these blessings will come upon you and overtake you, meaning they will be so abundant and overflowing in your life, you don’t have to run after it, but they will run after and overtake you wherever you go. He enumerated those blessings, He said you will be blessed in the city, in your coming in and going out, in all the work of your hands and you will be blessed in your basket, in your store, in your livestock, in your family, in your children, in everything that you put your hands to you will be blessed, now that is being successful, you are doing well in everything, whatever you are doing, it is going to come out well. So, being successful and prosperous, doing well in whatever you are doing, is part of God’s covenant blessing to you. In fact, when He spoke to Joshua, in Joshua chapter 1, verse 7 and 8, He said, Joshua, ‘you mediate in my word, and you will be prosperous, and you will have good success. You follow my word, and you will be prosperous.’ Joshua had an assignment, he had to lead the people into the promised land and God said you follow my word, you will see success in that assignment. So, I want to encourage you today, whatever you are doing, you may be in a professional life, working in some organization, success for you is there. God has promised to cause you to succeed, to do well, to prosper in that, as a professional, as a student, as a homemaker, whatever you are engaged in, God will make it well, receive that, it is your covenant blessing. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you, that you will cause each of us to be successful in whatever we do, because it is your covenant blessing for each of us, your people, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
