Hello everyone and welcome to Living Supernaturally, the daily devotionals of All People's Church, where we spend a few minutes in God's word to build our faith up and live a life that is fruitful in God's kingdom. This week, we've been looking at holy habits, how to build godly habits that enable us to live a godly life. This week, we want to talk about the habit of walking with the Holy Spirit. Galatians chapter 5 and verse 25, "Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." Walking with the Holy Spirit is not supposed to be complicated or mystical. It is simply staying in step, moment by moment with the Holy Spirit. Instead of running ahead with our own strength, with our own knowledge, and with our own understanding, we know that as believers who have put our faith in Jesus, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit resides within us and we can talk to Him, walk with Him, commune with Him. Jesus told His disciples in John chapter 16 verse 13 that when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide us into all truth. So, the Holy Spirit comes to guide us and so we don't need to live this life alone, we are supposed to live in step, in communion, walking with the Holy Spirit, in every single action, not just the big moments of life, not just the big choices of life, but in the mundane, in the everyday, in the small choices, in the simple words that we speak, we can ask and commune with the Holy Spirit. Galatians chapter 5 also paints a contrast of what it means to live according to the flesh and what it means to live according to the Spirit. And what it means to live according to the Spirit is to walk in the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and so on. It's something that we don't manufacture by our own strength, but it comes out of our relationship, out of our walking with the Holy Spirit. So, I just want to encourage us to build this habit of walking with the Holy Spirit. Every day when we wake up, we can pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead us, and guide us. Every time we do something or every time we need to make a choice or make a decision, we can make a simple prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to lead us, to guide us into all truth because He is the spirit of truth, He's the spirit of wisdom and revelation. He brings insight into every single area of our life. So, whether we are in confusion or we are doubting, the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth. So, I pray that we will remind ourselves and encourage each one of us that to walk with the Holy Spirit. Let's pray, Father, we just thank you for this time, thank you for this reminder, that you have sent your Holy Spirit upon each one of us. For those of us who have put our faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit resides inside of us, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. I pray that we will be people that are led by the Spirit, that walk with the Holy Spirit, not just in the big moments or the big choices of life, but every single day, in every single choice, and in every single decision we make, I pray that we will be a people that pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. So, Holy Spirit, we just ask that you will lead us and I just pray that we will build this habit of walking with the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen.
