Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Express (Daily Devotional)

Hello everyone, we are talking about worship and today, I want to focus on the expression of worship. We saw a beautiful picture in Mark chapter 14, where Mary of Bethany poured oil on Jesus and that was her expression of worship. What are all the things that we can do to express our worship towards God? There are several passages like Ephesians chapter 5, verse 9, Colossians chapter 3, verse 16 and even in the Old Testament, Psalm chapter 150, verses 3 through 5 which tell us that we can sing unto the Lord, we can make music with instruments to express our worship. We can express our worship through words, words such as poetry, psalms, hymns and we are encouraged to sing out or to speak this unto God, even spiritual songs are recorded here and all kinds of instruments. All of this gives us a way in which we can express our worship and that is why in our church services and fellowships, we sing because it is our way of expressing honor unto the Lord, we express our reverence and adoration unto the Lord. So, music and singing are a beautiful way to express ourselves. We can use all forms of art, everything that we can release, we release it for the glory of God, to honor God. Colossians chapter 3, verses 23 and 24, it says, ‘And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.’ Whatever we do, it says, do it unto the Lord and then it goes on to talk about serving the Lord. Anything, even our acts of service are worship unto God and all that we do, living our lives in obedience to God, maybe blessing others, showing kindness, compassion, walking in a manner that Jesus walked, that becomes our worship. Worship should not just be limited to singing songs or expressing our love in art forms but worship is our entire life and the choices we make, the way we honor God in all that we do. Another very beautiful way to express our worship is to use the word of God. We know that the word has so much to reveal about God and every time we read it, we can thank God, we can say, God, I worship you because you are my shepherd, I worship you because you are the Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals me. So, we can go ahead and respond to the word in this way to worship God. God has also given us the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. We can pray and sing in the Spirit, that is also a form of expressing our worship. Let’s do all of this to honor our great God. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, words will not be enough to sing your praises. Lord, let worship well up in us, let worship be expressed in various ways and let your glory fill the earth, in Jesus’ name we ask this, Amen.
