Greetings and thank you so much for being with us throughout this week, as we take a few moments each day to look at God in the workplace. Of course, we haven’t referenced all there is in the scriptures concerning how God can work with us, in the workplace and work for us but we’ve just made mention of a few. Today, I want to bring our attention to the fact that God can so bless us that we can enjoy our work. Think about it, most of us spend a big chunk of our lives in the workplace, maybe 8-9 hours every day, 5 days a week and so many years of our life in the workplace and what a terrible thing it would be if you don’t enjoy what you are doing. God speaks to that in the scriptures and I want to bring our attention to a few, Psalm chapter 128, verses 1 and 2, ‘ Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.’ He says you will enjoy the labor of your hands; the fruit of your labor and you will be happy. Concerning our work, God says, you are going to enjoy the fruit of your labor and be happy, that is a blessing He has promised. In Isaiah chapter 65, verses 21 and 22, he is talking about the time in the millennium but the bible tells us we taste of the power of the kingdom to come which means right now, we have a foretaste of it, then we will have in full measure. In concerning the millennium he says, ‘They shall build houses and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build and another inhabit; They shall not plant and another eat; For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.’ One of the blessings we will enjoy the works of our hands and it is a taste that we can have right now. You pray and say, Lord, you said in your word that I will enjoy the work of my hands and the fruit of my labor and I will be happy. Speak over your workplace and call it blessed, say this is a great place to be, I enjoy the work of my hands and I’m going to eat the fruit of my labor and I am happy because that is the word of God. Some things will change and your workplace will be blessed redeemed by the cross, a place where God establishes His covenant and He pours our His blessing, wisdom and skill so that the beauty of the Lord our God will be seen upon us and He will establish the work of our hands, so His name and glory will be revealed. May it be our experience in our places of work. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for all that you have promised in the word concerning our places of work. Let the glory of our God be seen upon us and let the beauty of our God be seen upon us. Establish the work of our hands, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
