Hello everyone, thank you for joining. Let’s spend some time reading from God’s word and knowing what the Lord talks about planning in the scriptures. It is a very interesting subject and very relevant to all of us. Firstly, I just want to touch upon this thought that we are not an accident, that God has created each one of us with a plan and purpose, just the way we see things around us designed for a certain purpose and we use so many equipment’s we use every single day have been designed uniquely to perform and have certain outcome. We too have been designed and that is what the scriptures talk about because we have been designed it is good for us to plan our lives in accordance with what God has designed us for. Let’s look at some scriptures, Psalm chapter 33, verses 11 and 15, this is what it says, ‘The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.’ It tells us that God has a counsel or God is a God who thinks, plans, who has an idea about why He is creating something and God really thinks about our destiny. Notice verse 11 also says that the plans of His heart to all generations, not only does God plan for each one of us as individuals but He also has plans and purposes for entire generations and that is so encouraging and strengthening for us. Let’s keep looking at this subject a little further. Psalm chapter 139 reminds us that God has designed us with a purpose even when we were in our mother’s womb, God made us with an intention. Verses 16 through 17 of Psalm chapter 139 says this, ‘Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book, they all were written, the days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!’ It is so encouraging that God thought about us when He formed us in our mother’s womb. He had a dream in His heart for each and everyone of us. The scriptures also tell us that His thoughts towards us are so great and He really wants us to do well and thrive in what He has created us for. So, today may hope arise in our hearts. God has a plan, purpose and dream for us and He has a wonderful destiny for our lives. As we think about this thought that there is a purpose for which each one of us is living, God also gives us grace or enablement in accordance to the purpose that He has for us. We see this in Ephesians chapter 4, verse 7, we are told that each one of us has grace in accordance to the measure of Christ’s gift. According to the calling, if you want to term it, that God has for each of us certain abilities, giftings. God blesses us with the resources we need and the important thing for us to note here is that because God has lavished all this on us, we must understand our responsibility from that point onwards about how we must make use of what God has blessed us with and how to really walk into the purposes that God has for us and it would take a plan for us to do that. We will talk more about this, for now let’s pray, Heavenly Father, thank you for encouraging our hearts to know that we are not an accident but you have a wonderful purpose and a destiny for us. Let that thought and assurance be so real in every heart, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
