Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for joining us today in our daily devotional and we thank you for the opportunity to come to you, spend these few moments with you. This week, we are talking about overcoming wrong thoughts. A wrong thought as we classify it is a thought that doesn’t agree with God’s ways and thoughts. So, it doesn’t agree with what the bible teaches us. How do we ensure that we align all our thoughts to God’s word and ways and thoughts? Yesterday, we mentioned that we must take charge of our mind, recognize that your mind is yours, you are in charge. You don’t give up control of your mind to someone else or something else. Secondly, you determine that your mind is holy ground. The bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verse 3 that this is the will of God, your sanctification or you being completely set apart for God. For God has not called us to uncleanness but holiness, so this is God’s will that everything about us is holy, set apart to be holy, so, that includes our mind. So, God is saying, this is my will for you that you keep your mind holy, so you agree with God and say, my mind is holy ground. So, you begin to affirm and come into agreement with God and say, my mind is holy ground, only thoughts that are aligned to God’s word, ways and thoughts will occupy my mind. My mind is mine and I’m in charge. Secondly, my mind is holy ground, it is consecrated to God and only thoughts that are in agreement to God’s word, ways and thoughts are going to occupy my mind. So, now you are taking charge and you are deciding that your mind is going to be holy ground, it is going to be an area of your life that is going to be fully aligned to God. So, again that is a decision you make and that is the will of God for us. So, this is step two, your mind is hoy ground, affirm that, my mind is holy ground. Let’s pray, Father, we consecrate our mind, our reasoning, intellect, thoughts, our analysis, our reflections and everything that goes on in our mind, we consecrate it to you and may only what is aligned to your word, ways and thoughts, only what is pleasing to you, occupy our minds, we declare our minds as holy ground, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
