Hello everyone, we're talking about the blood of Jesus. Let's consider another mighty work that the blood of Jesus has done for us. We read in Ephesians chapter 2 and verse 13 that we have been brought near to God by the blood of Jesus. Let me just read out that scripture for us. It says, ‘but now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.’ It is talking about mankind and people who were far away from God, because of our sinfulness and yet we see that God did something marvelous. He sent His own Son and the Son of God became the perfect, spotless, blemishless lamb of God shedding His blood for us. And because of this blood that purges us and that has provided remission for us, we now have been brought near to God. We now can boldly call God as Abba Father and have a relationship with God the Father just the way Jesus had. We saw that Jesus was intimate with the Father, there was no barrier of shame, guilt and sin and that was the way Jesus enjoyed a relationship with the Father. And today you and I can enjoy a similar relationship with the Father but this is possible only through the blood of Jesus. When we acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God and that His blood has done this work for us. Let's also read another passage from Hebrews chapter 10, verses 19 through 21, ‘Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a high priest over the house of God.’ Verse 19 talks about entering the presence of God by the blood of Jesus. Again, we know that this was not possible for a common man under the provisions of the old covenant but only the high priest could enter into the Holiest of holies and we talked about the day of atonement- once a year. So, we note the limited access but today the scriptures teach us that you and I can have boldness to enter the holiest all the time, any time because of the blood of Jesus. As believers, we can enter into the presence of God, the throne room of God and meet with God, speak to God, receive of His mercy and His goodness and this is made possible only through the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus has given us access into the presence of God which was just not possible under the old covenant. These are things for us to rejoice in, that you and I, every one of us, every tribe, every tongue is long as we are born again, we are children of God, we are washed in the blood of Jesus, we have access into the presence of God 24/7 and this is truly a mighty revelation. Let's pray and let's thank God and let's declare what the blood of Jesus has done for us. Lord, we thank you for the precious blood that was shed for us. Lord, we know that this is not easy but you made this choice and we honor you and we worship you. Father, we praise you for the continued access that we have into your presence because of the blood. We worship you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org.
