Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you for joining us for another series of Living supernaturally. We have been meditating on truth this week and yesterday, we spent some time knowing and declaring that Jesus is the person of truth. Jesus is truth! Today for our devotion, we are going to be meditating on the Spirit of truth. John chapter 16, verse 13, ‘However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.’ Jesus, during His farewell discourse, promises to the disciples that after He departs, He will send the Spirit of truth and He says that the Spirit of truth will guide them into all truth. The Spirit of truth referred here is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit plays an important role in the life of you and me, as a believer. As a person of the trinity, we know that He is the comforter, teacher, guide. The Holy Spirit dwells in us as believers leading and empowering us to live a life that is pleasing to God. So, what does the Spirit of truth do? The Holy Spirit being truth, it defines the name and the nature of the Holy Spirit. Verse 13 begins, ‘when the Spirit of truth’ Jesus defines the Holy Spirits very name and nature as truth. He is not just any Spirit; He is the Spirit of truth. The Spirit of truth comes to guide us into all the truth. The Spirit of truth doesn’t come to confuse us or to deceive us, He comes to guide us into the truth. This encompasses not just the truth about God, but also the truth about ourselves, about our situations and in the world or the environment that we inhabit. He was assuring us that the Spirit would lead us into a deeper understanding of the will of God, of His word and the ways of God. This guidance makes sure that we stay on that path of truth and avoid being misled. The Spirit isn’t driven by any personal agenda or any kind of an impulse, He only speaks what He hears the Father saying. In essence, the Spirit serves as the direct line to the heart and the will of God. The Spirit of truth, the verse says reveals things that are yet to come, that is, the Spirit of truth gives insight into the plans and purposes of God. As a believer, we are not on our own, as we search for truth, we will be guided into all the truth because of the Spirit of God and this is a wonderful comfort as we journey through this world. So, even as we move ahead in life, in things that we do, let’s know that the Holy Spirit is the one who guides us into all truth. Let’s pray, Holy Spirit, we thank you for your unwavering truth and the way that you guide us into every truth. We pray that we will have our ears and hearts keen and watchful to your words that we will be directed through paths of truth. Lead us Holy Spirit through every walk of life, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
