Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for this opportunity to come to you today and spend a few moments in the word of God. Today is Friday, we are coming to the end of another week, we trust that this week, as we have been talking about mental health, just bringing us a little encouragement from the word of God, that you are encouraged to look to God as the source of your mental well-being. Of course, there are practical things that we can do to train and enrich our minds, but we also look to God as the one who prospers our soul and who keeps us healthy and fit mentally. As part of what the scriptures teach us concerning our mental health, I want to point us to the fact that God has called us to have a sanctified and a renewed mind and that is very important especially as believers. In 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 23, we read what the apostle Paul had written, ‘Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely.’ that means sanctify even our minds, our emotions, our feelings, our affections. The word sanctify simply means to make holy, to make clean, to consecrate, to keep it separate unto God. The bible also teaches us that we are to renew our mind, this is in Romans chapter 12, verse 2, a very familiar scripture where apostle Paul tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. To renew means to reprogram or retrain our thinking, train to think differently. So, God is working in us to clean up our mind and to retrain it, He wants to get out all the dirt that has come in there because of our exposure to all the wrong things in the world, that is why our mind needs to constantly cleaned up, sanctified, washed out, get all the filth, dirt, wrong and negative things out and it needs to be renewed or retrained, think differently, think the way God thinks, think in God’s way and God’s thoughts. The way we give God the ability to do that or allow God to do that is by His word. As we constantly read the holy word of God, listen to the word of God, receive the insights and truth from His word, the word of God cleanses our minds and also retrains our minds, so we learn to think in God’s way and thoughts, that is an ongoing process. For our mental health, for our mental wellbeing, continually keep your mind sanctified and renewed, washed, and retrained by the word of God because the world has the wrong things and filth that wants to accumulate in our mind, so new need to constantly sanctify and renew our mind and it will work towards our wholeness, mental, emotional wellbeing, let’s do that. Let’s pray, Father, we ask that you help us, by your word to sanctify and renew our minds as we seek to walk in good health mentally, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
