Hello and welcome to Living Supernaturally, which is the daily devotion of All People’s Church and we hope you are being blessed by it as much as we are, in bringing this to you. Today, we are going to meditate on receiving by faith what God has already promised and what has been provided freely for us. In receiving this promise, we are called to have faith and to receive these things by faith. We need to understand one thing that it has been provided for through the finished work of the Lord Jesus on the cross, these provisions of grace are being made available for us. For us to believe and receive, each one of us have this responsibility to believe in God and receive it. In what way do I believe? We can learn some lessons on faith from the kind of faith that Abraham had. When we look at Romans chapter 4, the second part of verse 20 says, ‘Abraham was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.’ The question is, is my faith wavering? Does my faith seem weak today? Have I waited for so long and at the end of it, I seem to lose strength? We can strengthen ourselves in the Lord the way Abraham did. It says here that Abraham was strengthened in faith even as he gave glory to God. In other words, as we praise Him, give Him honor, glorify Him, our faith is built up. Even as our faith is built up, we are able to extend our faith and not lose sight of the promise, but receive it and see the promise of God/ what He has spoken over our lives unfold in our lives. It says here that he gave praise to God, we see this that even as we thank God, praise God for who He is, the promise giver, the promise keeper, even as we thank Him, not when we see the promise being made tangible but when we praise Him in advance, even when we don’t see it happen/ don’t see the answers, that is the faith of Abraham, he gave glory to God and was strengthened in faith. Well, Jehoshaphat did something like this, he put the army and then the team that was praising God ahead of the army. As they marched out to battle, there was this team which was declaring God’s praise and playing on the musical instruments, it says here that God set up an ambush and the enemies were defeated. We see another picture of it, Paul and Silas in the prison at Philippi, but at midnight they started praising God, sang hymns to God and it says there was a breakthrough, something happened in the natural, there was an earthquake and the prison doors were opened. That can happen in the spiritual as well, there will be a shaking and the prisons will be opened, a shift in the realm we are in. As we pray today, let’s pray our faith will be like that, that we will be strengthened giving praise God. Let’s pray, we thank you for who you are, that you are the creator God, the beginning and the end, the one who rewards those who diligently seek you. So, even today, we seek you and we believe in who you are and we thank you for who you are and the promises, even before we see it being manifest, we thank you in faith and may our faith be strengthened and may our faith in you made ever stronger and may we receive what you have already freely provided in Christ Jesus, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
