Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for journeying with us through this week, where we took time to reflect on our Lord Jesus as the prince of peace. I trust that you’ve had a wonderful Christmas week and this week, you have been drawn closer to the person of Jesus Christ. As we wrap up this week reflecting on Jesus as the prince of peace, I want to bring our attention to something which the apostle Paul wrote in Philippians chapter 4, verses 6 and 7, he told us that we could actually experience the peace of God and he points us to an aspect of this peace and he says it is a peace that is beyond understanding, it is a peace that surpasses understanding. He says, ‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.’ The peace that God gives is a peace that is beyond understanding. As people, it is just normal tendency for us to try and wrap our mind around things. Many times, when we can understand/ comprehend/ figure something out, that tends to give us a sense of peace, I’ve got this, I’ve found a way through this complex situation or I’ve understood this and so on. But the moment we are unable to wrap our minds/ get a grip/ understand/ find a way through something, we feel disturbed, anxious, worried, afraid because we don’t know, we haven’t figured a way out, we don’t know what is the answer/ solution, things can be so complex. What Paul is telling us is this that the peace that God gives to us is a peace that is beyond understanding, that means I don’t need to understand in order to be in a place of peace. I don’t need to figure things out in order to experience the peace of God, I don’t have to have a solution/ answer/ way/ means, I don’t need that, I can still experience the peace of God because the peace that He gives surpasses, it is beyond the realm of understanding. So, when you and I want to live and enjoy and dwell in the peace of God, recognize this that we need to let go of our desire to understand and get a grip on things and just trust/ believe to dwell in the peace of God because the peace He gives is beyond understanding. We don’t have to understand in order to live in the place of peace. Trust in God even when you don’t understand and you and I can walk in peace. May we be able to do that, may we trust God even when we don’t understand so that we experience the peace that the prince of peace gives to us. Let’s pray, Lord Jesus, we worship you. You are our prince of peace and even in moments when we don’t understand, can’t figure things out, can’t get a grip on situations, we trust you, we believe it, we recognize you are King and Lord and we thank you for the peace that you give to us, the peace of God which is beyond understanding, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
