Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings this week, we're talking about the nine marks of a minister of God based on second Timothy, chapter three, and verse 10 and 11, where Paul wrote to Timothy and he said, you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, long suffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions. He is speaking to this young man, Timothy and says Timothy, you see all of these things in me, and he mentions these nine marks or traits or characteristics of his own life, that attests to him being an anointed minister of God and so, we are examining these nine marks of traits. Today we look at the second one which Paul listed, he talked about manner of life, that means how I live my life. As ministers of God, we must understand that our manner of life must be aligned to what we preach and teach. We can’t preach and teach one thing and live totally opposite to that. Our life must back up, must demonstrate, must be an example of the doctrine, of the teaching and the preaching and our preaching and teaching must be aligned and must come out of our manner of life, these are interconnected. As a person, you, and I, as people who want to serve and honor God, our manner of life must be something that is worthy of the name of the Lord. To both his young proteges, both Timothy and to Titus the apostle Paul, emphasized how they should live their lives, 1 Timothy chapter 4 and verse 12, he told Timothy, he said, I want you to be an example to the believers. The same thing he told Titus in chapter two and verse seven, he said, ‘in all things, show yourself to be a pattern of good works or an example of good works.’ And he wanted him to maintain soundness of speech. So, our manner of life, second mark of a minister of God, anointed minister of God. How do you live life? Be an example, let it exemplify what the word of God teaches, let people see that in our lives. May you, may I, in our manner of life show that we are true ministers of God. Let’s pray, Father, we ask that the way we live lives, will be a demonstration of what we believe, of what you've taught us, or what he Word of God teaches, that God we will live according to your standards and not compromise. May our life be an example, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
