Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Faith (Daily Devotional)

by Sis Jean George

Shalom and welcome to our episode of Living Supernaturally, where we bring before you God’s word. Though this week, we have been looking at activating Gods’ presence. The last two days we looked at meditation and praise and worship as a way of being aware and activating God’s presence. Today, we look at faith as a way of activating God’s presence. We know that God gravitates towards faith, faith pleases God. Hebrews chapter 11, verse 6 says, ‘But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.’ Faith is something that pleases God and it is a catalyst that releases miracles. God gravitates towards faith and especially for those who walk in faith and believe in His word and stand in His word, He makes His presence known. We know and we have read about what faith is, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. How does it relate to the presence of God in our lives? Faith simply put is trusting in something or someone. It is a firm belief that something that we can’t see but we know is true because of the evidence of what we have experienced. In a biblical context, faith is putting our trust in God and His promise. When we have our faith in God, it activates His presence in our lives, He comes, He becomes real in our lives. God is always present with us but we have to have the faith in Him for us to truly experience His presence. Think about this, when you have faith in someone, you have a relationship with them, you trust them and you know that you can depend and rely on them in a time of need and they will be there, that is the same way our relationship with God goes. When we have faith in Him, we open the door for Him and His presence in our lives. How do we activate this faith in God’s presence? It starts with what we focused on two days back on mediating on God’s word. The bible is filled with promises and encouragement from God, for when we read and meditate on these promises, our faith grows and His presence becomes activated in us. The presence of God as we saw is available to us at all times but it is up to us to activate it through our faith. When we have faith in God, we open the door for God to be present in our lives and we begin to experience His comfort and peace and guidance. Let’s take a moment to reflect our faith; is our faith in God? Because when we grow in our faith in God, His presence becomes stronger and activated in our lives. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, empower us to live a life of faith. As we learn of you and your word, may we stand on its truth and live a life of faith. We pray that as we rely and depend on you, that your presence would be more and more tangible in our lives, thank you for answering our prayer, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
