Desire Fulfilled (Daily Devotional)

Greetings, thank you for giving us this opportunity to spend a few moments with you in God's word and prayer. Today, I want to remind you of a few verses of scripture from Psalms chapter 37, verses 3-5, the scripture says, ‘trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness, delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass.’ So, you and I are people of desire, of expectation, of hopes and dreams. There are things you and I carry that we hope one day we can become, one day we can accomplish, one day we will see happen in our lives. The scripture is telling us here that as we trust in God, as we feed on His faithfulness, as we delight ourselves in Him, as we commit our ways to the Lord, it says He will give us the desires of our heart and He will bring those things to pass. The God we serve is a God who fulfills desires. He is a God who sees purposes accomplished, that's the God we serve. He invites us to trust in Him, to delight ourselves in Him, to feed on His faithfulness and say, God, I know you're a faithful God, I am feeding and I'm drawing from it, I'm assuring myself over and over again, my God is faithful, He is immensely faithful and as we feed on His faithfulness and as we commit our ways to God, He fulfills our desires and He causes our purposes to be accomplished. God will do it. So, you may be pursuing things in your career, your business or purposes that you want to see accomplished, things that you desire, maybe in the ministry, maybe for your children, maybe for your family, God says that as you trust in Him, as you delight yourself in Him, as you commit your works to Him, as you feed on His faithfulness, He will give you the desires of your heart and He will cause your works to be fulfilled. This will happen, it's His word, believe it. Let's pray, Father, I declare over those listening, the fulfilling of their desires, the accomplishing of their works, even according to your word, even as we trust in you, feed on your faithfulness, delight in you and commit our works to you, thank you for what you do for us, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
