by Ps Nancy Ramya
Hello everyone, delighted to continue sharing on God’s creativity. Today, I have some passages that I personally love very much. Psalm chapter 19, verses 1 and 2, from the New King James Version, it says, ‘The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.’ I want to read for us from the NLT version as well, verses 1 and 2 of Psalm chapter 19, ‘The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.’ As we look at these verses, we see words like craftsmanship, handiwork and it is quite easy for us to understand why because everything that God created is full of detail. We see beauty in it, we appreciate beauty, even if we were to just think of the sky, each moment the sky is painted so differently. We just stand in awe and wonder of what God is able to make and what God has created. God is an artist; He is able to paint His art very skillfully. Another wonderful thing which I want us to notice here is, in these verses we are told that, ‘the heavens declare’, in the New Living translation version it says, ‘the heavens proclaim’. Later on, in verse 2, in the New King James Version it says, ‘day unto day utters speech’ and in the New Living translation version it says, ‘continue to speak’. We perceive a language, you may want to call it a silent language or you may just want to call it glimpses of the person of God, the nature of God. As we look at all that God has created, it speaks of Him, maybe without sound, but we are able to perceive intelligence behind whatever has been created here in the universe. Romans chapter 1, verses 19 and 20, also remind us of the same thing, it says, ‘because what may be known of God is manifest in them who God has shown it to them, for since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and God head so that they are without excuse.’ It simply tells us that in everything that God has created His nature comes through. Isn’t it beautiful? His invisible attributes it says are clearly seen, they are invisible yet they are clearly seen and they tell us of who God is, His eternal power and God head and that is who God is. He has left His signature on all that He has created. He is a craftsman; His handiwork speaks of His greatness. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for all that you have created and for your nature that comes forth so powerfully. Even as we look at creation, help us to search and seek you in it. Thank you that your person is revealed through everything, we give you glory, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
