Resting in the Lord is an intentional choice. Rest in the Lord, in order to quite yourself before God and refrain from activity, choosing to be with Him. Rest in the Him, in the midst of confusion, turmoil, noise, tumult around you, like Jesus sleeping in the middle of a storm. Rest in the Lord, instead of retaliating, fighting back, trying to defend yourself, when accusations, insults, are thrown at you.
