The Great Commission
Lets take a look at the Great Commission:
Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
The Great Commission was given and was to be carried out in the backdrop that "all authority in heaven and earth had been given to Jesus"
"Making disciples" included teaching the new followers to do all things Jesus had taught/commanded them. In the minds of those first disciples there was no doubt that this included : preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, healing the sick and casting out devils.
Mark 16:15-20
Mark's account clearly indicates that the first disciples did exactly this. They preached the Gospel, healed the sick, cast out devils and worked miracles - the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word.
Everybody gets to do this!
Everybody gets to share the Gospel, heal the sick, cast out devils and work miracles!

What Jesus Commanded His Disciples
Jesus clearly commanded His first disciples to both share the Gospel and demonstrate the supernatural.
Luke 9:1,2,6 Luke 10:1,8,9
So the first disciples simply passed on to other that they must share the Gospel and do the supernatural - heal the sick, cast out devils and work miracles.
What Jesus Spoke About The Works of The Father
Lets just pick out a few comments from Jesus' teaching to see what He said about the supernatural. He called it the "works of the Father".
John 5:31-36
Jesus pointed to the supernatural works He did and a greater witness than the testimony of the greatest of Old Testament prophets.
John 10:24,25,37,38
Once again Jesus pointed to the works He did to authenticate who He was.
Notice, He challenged the people that even if they did not believe what He said, they needed to believe Him because of the supernatural works He was doing.
John 14:1-12
vs 11 : even for His own disciples, He challenged them to believe Him, because of the works they saw Him do.
vs12 : and right after that He indicated that believers will continue to do the work He did, implying that the believers will authenticate who Jesus is - by doing the works of the Father - by demonstrating the supernatural.

How To Share The Gospel
Be prepared with this to share the Gospel.
The Gospel in 5 minutes (Four Spiritual Laws)
- Every man is a sinner (Romans 3:10, 23)
- Sin has its consequences (Isaiah 59:1,2 Romans 6:23)
- God’s love and Christ’s provision to bring us back to God (Romans 5:8, 1 John 2:2, Isaiah 53:6)
- When you believe you will be saved (Romans 10:9,13, Acts 10:43, John 1:12)
6 key verses: Romans 3:10,23 / Romans 6:23 / Romans 5:8 / Romans 10:9,13
Two minute Testimony
Salvation Experience
- Your life before you met Christ.
- How and why you received Christ.
- The specific changes that have occurred in your life since then. Use Key words such as purpose, meaning, direction, loneliness, fears, etc.,
Experience of Divine Intervention
- What was your need?
- What the Lord did for you
- What the Lord Jesus can do for that person + salvation
How to engage people
A) Asking Leading Q's
B) The Prayer Approach
C) The Power Encounter Approach
Keep your spirit in tune to the Holy Spirit. He may prompt you to go speak to someone. He may reveal something about their life, their need, etc. Expect words of knowledge, healing, miracles, prophecy, etc. that will open the opportunity to share the Gospel.
How To Minister Healing & Miracles
The "Five-Step" model was originally developed by John Wimber and the Vineyard churches to help believers pray and minister healing. It is not the only way to pray for healing, but is a simple model that has been taught and used effectively bearing powerful fruit in people’s lives. It is quiet, loving, and effective. It can be used by anyone and anywhere-in the home, in a gathering of believers, and for reaching out in the streets, marketplace, and workplace!
1. The Interview : Where does it hurt? What would you like me to pray for?
2. The Diagnosis : Why do they have this condition? The root cause(s).
3. The Prayer Selection : What kinds of prayer to be prayed to help this person.
4. The Prayer Ministry : Praying and watching what God is doing
5. Post-Prayer Suggestions : What should they do to keep their healing?
Even Intellectuals Will Be Reached
Sometimes we shy away from the supernatural - thinking that for the intellectuals we need to reach them through reasoning, arguments, logic, etc.
Nicodemus was a highly educated man, a scholar, part of the Sanhedrin, the council of the Jews - but He came to Jesus, because He saw the miracles Jesus did. John 3:1-2
When Paul was at Paphos, Sergius Paulus, who was in charge there, an intelligent man believed when He saw the power of God demonstrated. Acts 13:7,12
Conclusion
Our single concept of operation is centered around the PERSON, PRESENCE and POWER of Jesus Christ.
- PERSON - everything we do must point to HIM
- PRESENCE - we follow His Presence. We go where He is going. We do what He is doing.
- POWER - we demonstrate His power.
