We are born again by the work of the Holy Spirit.

John 3:5-6
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Titus 3:4, 5
But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

The Holy Spirit did not just stop with making us new creations in Christ.

We are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.
Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

We belong to Him – spirit, soul and body – since we are His purchased possession.

The infinite, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God chooses to dwell in us – finite beings
To be our helper
To lead us into all truth
To enable us to walk in victory over sin
To transform us to be more like the Lord Jesus

What a great privilege! What an awesome journey!

So, the key to living a life of consistent victory & Manifesting Christlikeness is to 'Walk in The Spirit'

The Holy Spirit enables and leads us to live an overcoming life.

Galatians 5:16
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

1) Walk in the Spirit - know your identity/position (who you are and what you have become) 'in/through Christ' as new creations.

2 Corinthians 5: 17, 21
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2) Walk in the Spirit – set your mind on the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8: 5-7
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.

Galatians 6:8
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Romans 12:2
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

3) Walk in the Spirit – manifest the love of God given by the Holy Spirit

Romans 5:5
5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
The God kind of love – the love of God – has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. He will empower us to manifest this to others.

I Corinthians 13 – the chapter on the God kind of love

4) Walk in the Spirit – be filled with the Spirit
Ephesians 5:18-21
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.

Our walk, our talk, our thoughts, our imaginations, our choices – Let them come under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

5) Walk in the Spirit – Present yourself as an instrument of righteousness to God

Romans 6:12-14
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

6) Walk in the Spirit – Pray in the Spirit (Pray in tongues)

1 Corinthians 14:4
4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.

Jude 1:20,21
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Romans 8:26
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

May we purposefully walk in the Spirit and let the fruit of the Spirit be manifest in and through us.

Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
