We discover in Ephesians 2, our position in Christ, that we live out of this life in Christ by grace through faith, and the amazing truths of being His workmanship, belonging to the family, and being a dwelling place of God.
God has revealed to us in His Word, truth about creation, redemption, life, death, eternity and things to come. Approximately 2,500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible, about 2,000 of which already have been fulfilled. The Bible contains 10,385 verses predicting the return of the Lord. We will consider a few Bible prophecies to show their accuracy and strength.
We are commissioned to be His witnesses with the power of the Holy Spirit. We are to witness with the way we live and with what we say. We are to demonstrate the power and love of the Lord!
We learn a third strategy on how to share Christ with others by looking at how Paul the apostle engaged with people at Athens, the then intellectual capital of the world.
Connect and Impact. Connect with people based on things they can relate to. Impact their lives with the supernatural power of God. Disciple new believers. TEACH them God's Truth. TRAIN them in spiritual Disciplines. CONNECT them with Christian Fellowship. EQUIP them to Serve.
God relates to us out of His grace, accepting us, doing things for us, giving things to us, which we may not expect and which we do not deserve. Religion requires. Grace empowers! Truth without grace leaves us with a religion that requires but does not empower. It leaves us with a religion that is oppressive and burdensome. On this episode, we study the various facets of his Grace.
Before we begin the construction of a building, the master architect draws up a blueprint of the layout and design according to which the building is to be constructed. In a similar way in the Bible, we find God giving us a blueprint for the building of strong local churches, churches that will have impact and influence. On the program today, we talk about one important aspect of this blueprint – The Pillar of Truth & The Army of God.
