Through time God revealed Himself with many Covenant names, each revealing a little more of who He is and what He would be to His people or what He would bestow on His people, what His people can expect because they are in a covenant relationship with such a One.
Covenant is a relationship based on a solemn promise. Hence we'd like to refer to our relationship with God as a covenant-relationship. A covenant is established. However a relationship is developed within the covenant. The goal of this relationship is fellowship or intimacy.
We often hear the phrase that we need to “plead the blood of Jesus” – and many
take it as a chant, in order to invoke the power of the blood of Jesus. However the ultimate purpose of covenant is Relationship. We also receive and walk in our covenant by grace, in obedience and faith. We must fight for our covenant rights because there is an enemy who wants to rob us of it.
On this episode, we’ll look at how the blood affects 3 areas of our living:
A. As those redeemed from the Fall
B. In our relationship with God
C. In our conflict with the devil
