The new covenant is a better covenant with better promises. It is a more glorious covenant moved by the work of the Spirit. It is a covenant of grace where He says, 'I am not asking you to do things, I am inviting you to receive by faith. Not based on Law or on works. Sealed with My own blood. It is my blood that is sprinkled before God and on you. There will be no more need of sacrifices and rituals.
We look at the Old Covenant and how it affected the daily life of people. How did being in covenant with God affect their everyday life? These insights help us to understand how God would seek to work with and amongst us as people of the New Covenant.

This Psalm talks about a Father who forgives, heals, redeems, blesses us with His lovingkindness and mercies, satisfies us with good things, renews our youth, executes righteousness and justice. He is unchanging and sovereign.
The apostle Paul having communicated about our life in Christ, now exhorts us to live according to the "new man" we have become in Christ. He describes how living this new creation life affects our speech, conduct and attitudes.
All that we experience in our life in Christ, beginning with salvation is by grace through faith. Paul shares with us what the Lord Jesus has done for us - both Jews and Gentiles. He has made us one - in Jesus there is neither Greek nor Jew (Galatians 3:28). The middle wall of separation, the law of commandments contained in ordinances has been abolished. We, both Jews and Gentiles are now one new man following the Lord Jesus and His Word for us. This has been made possible through the what Jesus accomplished on the Cross.

Our God speaks and reveals what He is doing or about to do as new seasons unfold. Every year, we wait on the Lord to hear him speak and provide direction for the year ahead.
