2 Corinthians 5:17-18
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
18 Now all things are of God,

What a powerful truth - the Lord Jesus makes us who believe in Him new creatures. Old things pass away. All things become new. All things are now of God...not of man.

The new person we become in Christ is not man-made.

Each of us is spirit, soul and body. We become new creatures in our spirit, our inner man.

A new nature
Ephesians 4:24
and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

The new man inside of us is created in the image of God.
We have the life and nature of God and therefore have the capacity to relate to Him and to walk in righteousness.

A new identity
Ephesians 1:4
just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

We are holy and without blame before Him, covered by His love.

Ephesians 1:5
having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

We are sons and daughters of God.

Romans 5:1,2
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God

This changes the way we relate to God
We relate to God, our daily fellowship with God, our entry into the presence of God is not based on your works. It is based on who we are in Christ.

This change our self-image
Who you are in Christ, is who you really are.
Learn to place your self-image and your self-worth not on your achievements, not on what other people say about you, etc., but on the simple fact of who you are in Christ.

A new way of living
Romans 6:6,7
6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.

Ephesians 4:24-32
24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
25 Therefore, putting away lying, "LET EACH ONE OF YOU SPEAK TRUTH WITH HIS NEIGHBOR," for we are members of one another.
26 "BE ANGRY, AND DO NOT SIN": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
27 nor give place to the devil.
28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

This changes our lifestyle
We walk victorious over sin.

This changes the way we relate to one another.
We relate to one another as who we are in Christ.

A new authority

Romans 5:17
For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the
1 John 5:1,4
1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

This changes the way we face challenges and difficulties in life

This changes the way we face demons and demonic powers
We face demons and demonic powers with confidence and authority.
