During 2016 we had about 663 First Time Visitors attend our English services. We saw at about 100 people make a first time decision to follow Jesus during our English services (based on decision cards). However, there was a very negligible increase in average church attendance at our English services in 2016 (789 average attendance) over 2015 (782 average). Given that APC has a congregation of upwardly mobile professionals, we do see several individuals and families relocate out of Bangalore periodically. The numerical growth of APC is something we need to work on.

The English congregation saw 53 water baptisms (23 baptisms in 2015) and welcomed 66 individuals as new members (59 new members in 2015). The Nepali church had 11 water baptisms (19 water baptisms in 2015) and invited 22 new members. The Kannada church had 2 water baptisms (6 water baptisms in 2015).

The English congregation has 27 Life Groups (18 Life Groups in 2015) with an average attendance of 285 people at Life Groups (35% of congregation) in total. The Nepali church has 28 home groups (22 home groups in 2015) meeting weekly. In addition to the Sunday services, the Kannada church holds services in two slums on Sundays serving about 72 people (60 people in 2015).

Unless indicated otherwise, all financial data is as of Nov 30, 2016 for the current calendar year.

SECRET PLACE, FIVE DAYS OF PRAYER & 21 DAYS OF PRAYER

The Secret Place was held in February, June, September, and November and the five days of prayer in June and December. A highlight of this year was our 5-Days of Prayer held in from 28 Nov to 2 Dec where we spent time hearing from God and praying. This is key to the journey we will make in 2017. Would like to see more of us taking time to be part of these seasons of prayer and seeking God.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Children's Church has been growing in strength. Our goal here is to impart and train our children in the Word and the Spirit, as well as provide them with Life Skills. Once children graduate out of Children's church we want them to be ready to minister and serve the Lord powerfully. This year, topics that were covered in children’s church include Kingdom of God, Old Testament, New Testament and we’ve just begun teaching on the Cross of Christ. In Teen Talk which are special sessions for Teens, on Sundays, we covered several important topics. For 7th and 8th graders : Values and choices, Peer pressure, Responsibility, and addressed Common challenges among teens. For 9th and 10th graders : Managing emotions, Relationships, Power of words, Body image, Discerning subtle messages in media, Addictions & Bullying.
